To Use the Dispenser
Select C UBED ICE,CRUSHED I CEor WATER.
Press the glassgentlyagainstthetop ofthe
dispenser cradle.
Thespillshelfisnot self-draining. Toreducewater
spotting,the shelfand its grilleshouldbe cleaned
regularlg.
If no water isdispensed whentherefrigerator is
firstinstalled, t heremay be air in the waterline
system.Press thedispenser arm for at leasttwo
minutesto removetrappedair from thewaterline
and to fill the watersystem.Toflushout impurities
in thewater line,throwaway thefirstsix glassfuls
of water.
CAUTION: Neverput fingersor any otherobjects
into theicecrusherdischarge opening.
Locking the Dispenser
Press the LOCKpadfor 3 seconds to lockthe
dispenser and controlpanel.Tounlock,press
and holdthe pad againfor 3 seconds.
Dispenser Light
TheLIGHTpadturnsthe night light in the
dispenser o n andoff.Thelightalsocomeson
whenthe dispenser c radleis pressed. On some
models,ifthis lightburnsout, it shouldbe replaced
with a Bwatt 12Vmaximumbulb.
Quick Ice
Whenyou needice in a hurrg,pressthe
QUICK
ICEpadto speedup ice production. T hiswill
increase iceproductionfor thefollowing48 hours
or untilgou press the padagain.
Door AIorm
Toset thealarm,pressthe DOOR ALARM pad until
the indicatorlightcomeson.Thisalarmwill sound
if eitherdoor is openfor morethan 3 minutes.
Thelightgoesout and the beepingstopswhen
gou closethe door.
Precise Fill
Thiswater dispenser is equipped with a feature
called"precise fill."Thisfeatureallowsyouto
choosea precise amountof water (cupsor
ounces) t hat gou wouldlikedispensed.
0 Press the WATER pad.
0 Press the CUPS or OUNCES p ad.
Select t he preciseamountof water gou
wouldlikedispensed.
If you selectedOUNCES, pressthe arrow
padson eithersideof the displagto select
the numberof ouncesgou wouldliketo have
dispensed between1-99 ounces.
If you selectedCUPS, pressthe arrowpads
on the left ofthe displagto selectthe whole
cups (1-16cups)and/orthe arrow padson
the rightsideof the displagto selectfractions
of a cup (1/4-3/4 cups).
Press the cupagainstthecradleand water
willbegindispensing. I t willautomaticallg
stop whenthe amount set hasbeen
dispensed. Thedisplagwillshowthere
is nowater leftto dispense, then reset.
NOTE: Donotleavethedispenser u nattended
whenwateris beingdispensed.
If youwould liketo stop dispensing water
beforethe specified amount hasbeen
dispensed, just remove the cupfrom the
cradle.Thedisplagwillshowthe amount
left to dispense.
Important Facts About Your Dispenser
i;_ _ Donot add icefrom tragsor bagsto
the storagedrawer. I t mag notcrushor
dispense well.
i_ Avoidoverfillingglasswith iceand useof
narrowglasses. B acked-up icecanjam the
chuteor causethe doorin the chuteto freeze
shut.If iceis blocking the chute,pokeit through
with a woodenspoon.
i;_Beverages andfoodsshouldnot bequick-
chilledinthe ice storagedrawenCans,bottles
or food packages in the storagedrawermag
causethe icemakeror augerto jam.
:_Tokeepdispensed icefrom missingthe glass,
putthe glasscloseto, but nottouching,the
dispenser o pening.
i;_Somecrushedice magbe dispensed even
though gou selected CUBED ICE. T hishappens
occasionallg when a few cubesaccidentallyget
directedto the crushe[
iq After crushediceisdispensed, somewater mag
dripfrom the chute.
i;_Sometimes a smallmoundof snowwillform
on the door in the icechute.Thisconditionis
normaland usuallgoccurswhen gouhave
dispensed crushedice repeatedlg. Thesnow
will eventuallyevaporate.
