Warning notes
Do not use or activate the rally lights on public roads!
On public roads, use the special rally light covers (5) provided to protect other road users.
Pay attention to the speed instructions and general information about the roof transport system in
the Owner's Manual.
No or incorrect fastening
Έ An unsecured or incorrectly secured roof transport system can come off the vehicle while you are driving
and cause a serious accident.
Έ Position the individual transportation modules as centrally as possible in relation to the feet.
Έ Check the roof transport system and transportation modules before each journey and at regular intervals
on longer journeys to make sure they are seated correctly and securely.
Έ Regularly re-tighten all screws as necessary.
Different vehicle handling
Έ The vehicle handling changes when the roof transport system is installed and loaded.
Έ Adapt your driving style.
Έ When the roof transport system is loaded, do not drive faster than 80 mph (130 km/h).
Έ When the roof transport system is fitted but not loaded, do not drive faster than 110 mph (180 km/h).
Unsecured or incorrectly secured load
Έ An unsecured or incorrectly secured load can come off the roof transport system while you are driving
and cause a serious accident.
Έ Secure the load to prevent it from shifting while you drive.
Έ Load the roof transport system and transportation module so that the load does not project beyond
the sides of the roof transport system. Never let the load exceed the width of the vehicle.
Έ Do not use bungee cords.
Έ Keep the load's centre of gravity as low as possible relative to the roof transport system, and distribute
the load uniformly over the loading surface.
Maintenance instructions
Έ Use warm water and washing-up liquid for washing. Take care to ensure that water does not get into
the plugs of the rally light unit.
Έ Do not store the roof rack basket on the rally light unit.
Έ We recommend storing the roof rack basket on one of its outer bars, with a suitable underlay beneath.
