2 Operation of control panel
The main function of the COsensor Detection control panels is to control the activation and
stopping of the ventilation system in addition to give an alarm indication as consequence of the
high concentration of toxic gases (CO and NO
In this way, the CO and/or NO
with the installation standards/regulations.
A recommended coverage for these devices can be between 200 and 300m
height of between 1.5 and 2m from the ground.
All sensors must be connected to the zone that is available without exceeding the maximum
capacity of each model, as indicated in Table 1.
When the panel control starts up, it performs an initial configuration of its modules and the
recognition of the sensors in the area, while on the display it shows the installed software
version for a few seconds and then a countdown (it lasts approximately 1 minute and a half)
until the process ends.
The control panel is able to recognize the CO and NO
computation of activations/deactivations, the sensor with the highest reading of concentration of
toxic gases in the area is taken into account. In the case of the CO sensors, it shows the
concentration in ppm. In the case of NO

Through the control panel located in the front of the equipment (see Figure 9 and Table 5), it is
possible to configure the levels of concentration of toxic gas for the activation of the ventilation
relay 1, of the ventilation relay 2 (only in the DVB model) and alarm.
In the same way, the control panel allows to configure the delay time for the activation of
ventilation 1, ventilation 2 (only in the DVB model) and alarm levels. The stop times of all these
levels are fixed (see Table 2 or Table 3 referring to the models with one and two ventilation
outputs, respectively).
The activation concentration levels of the ventilation and alarm systems are referred to CO
concentration values.
Figure 1 is valid for MCO120 model and shows how the ventilation 1 and alarm system act over
time according the toxic gas concentration level measured.
