7 Maintenance
It is recommended that the system (the panel control and also the sensors) undergo a general
visual inspection every 6 months through the following operations:
1) Check that all equipment is operational.
2) Inspect equipment for bumps or damage.
3) Check that the wiring and connection of the system is correct and that there are no
signs of manipulation or deterioration.
4) Clean equipment properly.
In addition, every 12 months it is recommended to perform the following additional operations:
5) Check that the panel control can activate the ventilation relays (via the control button or
by exposing a sensor to an adequate concentration of CO).
6) Check that the CO sensors respond to presence of CO. To do this, the sensors can be
exposed to CO gas and check that, when remaining for a time in the presence of this
gas, the LEDs of the sensors blink twice or that it remains fixed (depending on the
concentration that they measure).
7) If necessary, check that the control panel can activate the alarm relay: for example,
during the verification of point 6, a sensor in the area with a high concentration of CO
gas can be contained so that the control panel receives readings above the level alarm
for a time greater than its delay, checking that the alarm relay is activated.
8) If the panel control model is DVB, disconnect the power supply from the panel control.
The control unit must activate the buzzer and the "Power" LED (letter D in Figure 9) will
blink. After verifying that the system is stable and continues to function normally,
reconnect mains power. The power LED (letter D in Figure 8) must be ON and fixed.
9) Manufacturing date. Check the manufacturing date of the sensor. If its lifetime is
exceeded, it must be replaced (take into account the considerations described in
chapter 7 Maintenance).
