5.5 Noise/Vibration Information
Measured values determined according to
EN 60 745.
Typically the A-weighted noise levels of the
tool are:
Sound pressure level: 101 dB (A).
Sound power level: 114 dB (A).
Inaccuracy of measurement K = 3 dB (A).
CAUTION
The noise created during work may
damage hearing.
► Use hearing-protective aids!
The typical hand-arm vibration is below
2.5 m/s
.
2
Inaccuracy of measurement K = 1.5 m/s

Commissioning and
Operation
WARNING
Risk of injury, if the tools are used
with wrong supply power.
The voltage specifi cations on the rating plate
must correspond with the mains voltage.
Equipment marked with 230 V can also be
connected to 220 V / 240 V.
Check that the plug type is the same as the
socket type.
Adjustment of the riving knife
WARNING
Risk of injury, if the riving knife is not
correctly adjusted.
The riving knife [2-6] must always be used
for safety reasons. The riving knife prevents
the saw blade from becoming jammed when
making lengthwise cuts.
To adjust the riving knife, set the cutting
depth with the clamping lever [3-1] to
"Minimum" (machine swung up) (see part
"Cutting Depth Adjustment").
Loosen screw [1-5], adjust the riving knife
[2-6] and retighten the screw (see fi gure).

Risk of electric injury.
► Before any manipulation with the tool
make sure to unplug the mains socket
outlet.
7.1 Electronic Motor Control
Starting current limiting
The electronically controlled smooth start
takes care that the machine starts without
jerk. As a result of the machine's reduced
starting current, a 16 A fuse is suffi cient.
No-load speed reduction
The electronic control reduces the no-load
speed of the machine which results in re-
duced noise and wear of motor and gear.
Constant speed electronics
The constant speed electronics maintains
the speed between no load and load nearly
constant and ensures uniform feeding which
produces an even cutting edge.
Electronic overload protection
In case that the machine is extremely over-
loaded, an electronic overload protection
protects the motor from damage. In this
