The appliance's water tank lid must be kept closed during operation.
Defective components must always be replaced with original repla-
cement parts. Only such parts will guarantee that the safety requi-
rements are fulfi lled.
Only use the device with original accessories.

2.3.1 Danger of burns
WARNING
Water which is heated in this appliance, the steam wand and the
portafi lter baskets and group head can become very hot. Please
observe the following safety notices in order not to burn or scald
yourself or others.
WARNING! The appliance's surfaces can become very hot during
use. In particular the hot water/ steam wand, the cup warming tray,
group head, the portafi lter baskets and the drip grid all become
very hot.
