TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Solutions
* Correct the connection.
* Press the function button to select the correct input.
Causes
¢ The AC cord is not connected properly.
* Anincorrect function button was pressed.
* There is a bad connection between systems.
¢ Excessive voltage was applied to a speaker ter-
minal, which tripped the amplifiers voltage-pro-
tection breaker.
¢ There is a short circuit in the speaker terminal.
¢ One speaker is disconnected.
* The antenna is not connected properly.
* The receiver is not correctly tuned.
¢ The signal is weak.
¢ The system is picking up outside noise.
Symptom
There is no sound.
¢ Correct the connection.
setting is cancelled, set it again.
* Correct the speaker connection.
The indicators in the display
go out or the power is turned
off soon after it is turned on.
Sound comes from only one
speaker.
There is constant, wave-like
static.
¢ Check the antenna connection.
* Correct the tuning.
¢ Install an outside antenna.
* Change the location or direction of the antenna.
* Keep the antenna away from the flat cable.
To reset
deck, reset the unit as follows.
