REPLACING THE WIRE

WARNING:
Use only recommended replacement wire Ryobi A81FC06
in the hot wire tip accessory. Do not use any tips or wires
not recommended by the manufacturer of this product.
The use of wire, tips or accessories not recommended
can result in serious personal injury, or damage to your
product.
Turn the tool off and let it cool.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause
product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Use a towel or steel wool to wipe down each tip while the
foam is still in a melted state. Clean the tips after every use
to maintain longevity.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
This foam cutter is only compatible with the RYOBI hobby station and may be used with only the following RYOBI tips.

Remove the battery cap and the battery.
Wrap the pre-cut nichrome wire around the groove in
one arm.
Pull it tight and wrap the nichrome wire around the
opposite arm.
Align the green channels on the tip with the tool. Slide
the tip onto the tool until you hear a click.
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
After 30 minutes, the unit will turn off. This preserves the tip
and prevents powering an unattended tool. To restore power,
press the on/off button to turn the unit back on.
STORAGE
Ensure the foam cutter is off and allow the unit to cool
completely before storing. Remove the battery pack.
Store the product where the temperature is below 80° F.
Store the product in a "discharged" condition.
WARNING:
Always remove the battery pack before storage to ensure
the product is off. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes of
cool-down time before storage.
