Checking
the ceiling
o The ceiling must be flat, horizontal and adequately
load-bearing.
o The depth of the bore holes must be the same length
as the screws.
The enclosed screws and wall plugs are suitable for
solid brickwork.
Suitable fasteners must be used for
other structures (e.g. plasterboard,
porous concrete,
poroton bricks).
Installation Procedure
• ,
CAUTION
Ensure that there are no electric wires, gas or water
pipes in the area where holes are to be made.
Calculating
the installation
height
1. When selecting the installation
height (P) of the
extractor hood, adhere to the minimum distances to
the cooktop, see Chapter Safety distances.

Preparing
the installation
1. Align the drill template on the ceiling and glue it on.
When positioning the drill template, heed the position
of the control panel.
2. Mark positions for the screws.
Making the ceiling breakthrough
1. Mark the ceiling breakthrough
(0 8 1/2" (216 mm))
using the drill template.
2. Make the ceiling breakthrough

Ceiling height
C
Kitchen furniture height (standard height: 36"

P
Distance from the lower edge of the extractor
hood to the cooktop
H
Distance from the ceiling to the lower edge of the
extractor hood = K - C - P
S
Distance from the ceiling to the upper edge of the
extractor hood = H - 2 6/16" (61 mm)
2. Calculate distance from the ceiling to the lower edge
of the extractor hood, H = K - C - P.
3. Calculate and note the distance from the ceiling to the
upper edge of the extractor hood (S).
