INSTALLATION
Ensure that the welding equipment is not connected to the mains when installing the equipment.
Ensure compliance with your local and national safety requirements regarding the installation and use of high voltage units.
Check the contents of the packages and make sure the parts are not damaged.
Do not modify or make structural changes to the torch or torch components.
Installing/replacing consumable parts
Select consumable parts according to your
welding application.
Gas nozzle, collet body, collet:
1. Ensure that the insulating ring is in place.
2. Install gas nozzle, collet body and collet.
Electrode:
Prior to installing the electrode, grind the
electrode tip to the appropriate dimensions
for your welding application.
1. If already installed, loosen the electrode
back cap on the welding torch by turning
it counter-clockwise.
2. Push the electrode into the torch and
through the collet and gas nozzle.
3. Tighten the electrode back cap clockwise to
lock the electrode in place.
OPERATION
Welding arc radiation and spatters cause damage to eyes and unprotected skin. Always wear a welding helmet with eye protection,
protective gloves, clothing and footwear when welding.
Before using the torch, ensure that all the cables are in serviceable condition and that the connectors are correctly fastened.
Do not bend cables and hoses, as this can cause damage that may prevent proper gas and coolant circulation.
1. Check that the earth return cable is
connected to the welding equipment and
to the piece to be welded.
2. Check that the electrode size is correct for
your welding application and current.
3. To start welding, press the welding switch
on the welding torch handle.

Optionally, by removing the electrode back
cap, the electrode can be installed also by
pushing it into the torch from the electrode
back cap side.
Connecting torch
1. Check that the welding torch connector
setup matches the setup on your welding
equipment.
2. A) For a separate control cable and
shielding gas connections: connect the
welding current cable, control cable and
gas hose connectors to your welding
equipment.
B) For a a separate control cable
connection: connect the welding gas/
current cable and the control cable to
your welding equipment.
C) For an an integrated connection
setup: connect the welding gas/current/
control cable to your welding equipment.

3. Secure the connectors in place by turning
the collars clockwise.
4. If water cooling is used, connect the
water cooling hoses in the correct inlet
and outlet order to your cooling unit
connectors.
Hand tighten the torch connectors.
Loose connectors may overheat,
create contact disturbances, cause
mechanical damage and water or
gas leakage.
Adjusting finger supports
The finger supports on the welding torch
handle can be adjusted by pushing them
backward and forward. The adjustment is
independent for each support.
The finger supports can also be removed
from the handle by pushing them forward
and out of the groove in the handle.
