SET-UP AND CONNECTION
Position the aquarium air pump:
• outside the aquarium in a dust-free environment.
• on a solid, horizontal, low-resonance surface with sufficient
load-bearing capacity.
• above the water level.
If you want to position the pump below the water level,
the Tetra CV check valve (not included in the set) must be
installed!
INITIAL USE
The aquarium air pump is switched on when the plug is inserted
into a socket. It is switched off (no power) when the plug is
pulled out.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Before performing any work on the device, remove the plug
from the socket to prevent a harmful electric shock.
The mains cable cannot be replaced. Please stop using and
dispose of the device if it is damaged.
Cleaning the Tetra APS aquarium air pump
Clean the device with a damp cloth when needed. Use a mild
cleaner to remove stubborn dirt. Do not use aggressive cleaning
agents. Never submerge the device in water. Never clean the
device under running water.
Cleaning the air filter
Clean the air filter regularly (depending on the environmental
conditions).
1. Remove the air filter (filter fleece) from the opening on the
underside of the device with a small screwdriver.
2. Wash out the air filter under running, lukewarm water.
3. Leave the air filter to dry completely.
4. Insert the air filter again.
