3. Insufficient unit performance:
• In case of insufficient performance, if after looking for the technical causes there is no
anomaly in the system, it is necessary to check if the doors of the chamber are hermet-
ically sealed, that there are no cold dispersions in the chamber, that the staff use the
camera with due care and that in the chamber used at low temperature no supplies or
unfrozen liquids have been conserved, even if there is ice in the evaporator.
It is advisable to mount the equipment away from the doors, especially when many daily
openings are foreseen.
CAUTION
It is strictly forbidden, during the operation of the equipment, to remove the protec-
tions provided by the manufacturer to protect the safety of its user.
4. Other inconveniences may be due to the intervention of the following electrical protections:
a) Compressor thermal relay - manual reset.
It is used to protect the compressor against high current absorption due to:
• Lack of a phase.
• Excessive condensation pressure due to excessive temperature in the room.
• Dirty condenser or fan stopped.
• Evaporator blocked by ice
Once the causes have been eliminated, press the reset of the thermal relay.
b) Thermal protection fans (incorporated in the motor) - automatic reset.
It serves for the protection of electric fans against high current absorption due to:
• Reheating.
• Lack of a phase (only in three-phase models).
• Dirty condenser.
• Evaporator blocked by ice
c) Oil pressure switch - manual reset.
Only for compressors equipped with an oil pump. It is used for the protection of the me-
chanical parts of the compressor due to lack of lubrication due to:
• Oil filter clogged.
• Oil with many impurities.
• Cold oil mixed with refrigerant.
To reset it, press the button on the pressure switch. Wait at least 10 minutes after the
intervention and keep the crankcase heater in place in the meantime.
d) High pressure switch - manual reset.
It is used for the protection of the compressor against overpressure, as a result of which
the pressure switch intervenes frequently, due to:
• Dirty condenser.
• Condenser fans that do not work.
• Ambient temperature too high in the installation.
