6. FUNCTIONS AND CLEANING
·
Switch off the machine at the power switch (Fig. 3) before
starting to clean it.
·
Do not wash the machine by directly spraying jets of water on
it and/or at high pressure.
·
The cutting and processing parts should be cleaned at least
once a day by following the cleaning instructions.
·
Safety gloves must be worn when cleaning these parts. See
chapter 6.3. GLOVES.
6.1. GETTING STARTED
·
Depending on the size of the fruit to be cut, you should choose
the right set of blades. See chapter 4. ACCESSORIES.
·
Before switching the machine on (Fig. 3), make sure it is set to
the required cutting mode (Fig. 2 (I=Sticks, O=Slices/Chunks))
and check that the right blade kit has been fitted. The machine
has two operating modes:
-
Slices/Chunks mode: The fruit is cut into slices or chunks.
-
Sticks mode: The fruit is cut into sticks.
·
The following steps describe how to turn the machine on:
1.
Switch the machine on (Fig. 3 (I=On, O=Off)). This will take
around 30 seconds for the machine to check the com-
pressor pressure. When it is connected, the LED Zummo
logo light will come on and the 4 icons (Fig. 4) will light up.
When the compressor is ready, the 4 icons will switch off
and icon 1 "insert pineapple container" will start flashing.
This means the machine is ready.
2.
Insert the pineapple container (Fig. 5). When the machine
detects the container and closes the cover, icon 1 "insert
pineapple container" stops flashing and remains on, and
icon 2 "insert pineapple" will start flashing. We can now
move on to the next step.

3.
Insert the pineapple (Fig. 6). When the machine detects
the pineapple and closes the cover, icon 1 "insert pineap-
ple container" remains on, and icon 2 "insert pineapple"
stops flashing and remains on. At this point icon 3 "display
button" will start flashing. The touchscreen display (Fig.
7) now indicates that the machine is ready when the four
sectors of the oval are flashing and the ON button is on.
4.
Press the ON button on the touchscreen (Fig. 7) to start
the process. While the machine is working, the inner light-
ing in the processing zone will be on. Icon 1 "insert pine-
apple container" and icon 2 "insert pineapple" remain on,
and icon 3 "display button" stops flashing and remains on.
The touchscreen display (Fig. 7) indicates that the process
is running by the flashing ON button and the four sectors
of the oval are lit.
5.
When the process has finished, the inner lighting in the
processing zone turns off, icon 1 "insert pineapple con-
tainer", icon 2 "insert pineapple" and icon 3 "display but-
ton" remain on, whereas icon 4 "remove container" starts
flashing. The touchscreen display light (Fig. 7) turns off
when processing has finished.
6.
Remove the pineapple container. When the pineapple
container has been removed, icon 1 "insert pineapple con-
tainer", icon 2 "insert pineapple", icon 3 "display button"
remain on, and icon 4 "remove container" remains on for
9 seconds until the compressor fully charges again ready
for the next cycle.
If the machine detects insufficient pressure while it is operat-
ing, it will stop the cutting process to recharge the compres-
sor. When it has recharged, the cutting process will resume.
