4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
2. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or base in water or allow moisture to come into
contact with these parts.
3. Clean the body of the kettle with a damp cloth or sponge, never use abrasive products.
4. Remember to clean the filter regularly.
WARNING
: do not use chemicals, steel wool or abrasive detergents to clean the kettle
body, as these may damage its glossy finish.
When the appliance is not in use, you can store the power cord in the bottom of the base.
Removal of limescale deposits
Descale the kettle regularly, as mineral deposits from tap water can form limescale deposits
on the bottom of the kettle, adversely affecting the kettle's life and performance.
To descale the kettle, you can use a commercial descaling agent and follow the manufacturer's
instructions for use. Another option is to follow the instructions below using white vinegar:
1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add water to the solution so that it
completely covers the bottom of the kettle. Leave it to act overnight.
2. Empty the kettle and, before using it again, boil clean water a couple of times and throw
it away after boiling. Repeat this procedure several times until the vinegar smell has
disappeared. You can remove any remaining stains on the inside of the spout by rubbing
with a damp cloth.
