Replacing the oil or fat
The quality of the oil or fat deteriorates
every time you use the appliance. For this
reason you will need to replace the oil or
fat at regular intervals. Topping up the oil or
fat will not improve the quality.
Preference is given to the replacement of
the oil or fat after about every tenth use of
the deep fryer. Use high-quality oil or fat,
preferably in liquid form. Margarine, butter
and solid fat are not suitable for frying, and
their use is forbidden.
Replace the oil or fat when:
• the oil or fat becomes darker in colour;
• the oil or fat becomes thicker in
consistency;
• small air bubbles are seen that take a
long time to disappear (in new, fresh fat
the air bubbles are large; they also
disappear rapidly);
• the fried food has a rancid taste or smell;
• the appliance emits more smoke.
