7. Lens Adjustment
Adjusting the picture detail
The focus and focal distance should only be adjusted by authorised personnel.
• Remove the housing (see 5.2.1)
• Switch on the camera (current supply) and connect the monitor.
• By loosening the fixing screw (c) (see p. 22) and turning the ring, the focal distance of the lens will change and
thus the picture detail.
• Focus using (b)
• After adjustments are complete, re-tighten both knurled screws (b) and (c) and close the housing (see 5.2.1).
NOTE: For the best possible focal adjustment of outdoor cameras, we recommend holding a neutral density
filter in front of the lens during the adjustment procedure stated above. This will cause the lens
aperture to open and will allow adjustments to the picture quality, which is more dependent on
fluctuating ambient light conditions.
