Use:
1. Inspect the Sterile Transfer Battery Case for any damage, such as: cracks in the case or damaged, broken, or worn
gasket, latch, and/or hinge. If damage is found, do not use. Sterility may be compromised and patient infection may
occur.
2. The sterile scrub technician places the sterile transfer shroud onto the sterile transfer battery case (See Figure 3).
The pins on the underside of the shroud go on the outside of the case to center the shroud on the case.
3. The circulator inserts the battery through the sterile transfer shroud and into the battery case (See Figure 4) and
ensures the battery is fully seated in the case.
4. Circulator then removes the sterile transfer shroud from the battery case by pulling the thumb tab on the shroud.
5. Sterile scrub technician closes the lid of the battery case (See Figure 5).
Make sure the charging platform is fully engaged on the charger.
Inspect the battery, charging platform, and charger for debris build-up on electrical connections.
If found, clean and recharge.
Inspect the battery and charging platform for loose mechanical connections or corrosion on
electrical connections. If any of these conditions are found, do not use.
If all inspections are normal, dispose of the battery properly and replace with a new battery.
