is carefully tested and subject to strict quality controls by Metabo's quality assurance. Nevertheless, the
service life of a power tool depends to a great extent on you. Please observe the information contained
in these instructions and the enclosed documentation. The more carefully you treat your Metabo power

1 Intended Use
The grinder stand is designed for use with Metabo
angle grinders with a cutting disc diameter
between 180 mm and 230 mm.
Attaching a power tool unsuitable for the grinder
stand may result in foreseeable dangers.
The grinder stand is only suitable for dry operation.
The grinder stand is designed for clamping profiled
materials made from metal or stone in preparation
for dry cutting.
The user bears sole responsibility for damage
caused by improper use.
Generally accepted accident prevention regula-
tions and the enclosed safety information must be
observed.
2 General Safety Instructions
WARNING – Reading the operating
instructions will reduce the risk of injury.
WARNING Read all safety instructions and
information supplied with the grinder
stand or power tool. Failure to follow all safety
warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Keep all safety instructions and information for
future reference.
Before using the power tool, carefully read through
and familiarise yourself with all the enclosed safety
information and the Operating Instructions. Keep
all enclosed documentation for future reference,
and pass on your power tool only together with this
documentation.
The term "power tool" used in the safety instruc-
tions refers to power tools (with a mains cable)
operated from the mains power supply and
battery-operated power tools (without a mains
cable).
Pull the plug out of the plug socket and/or
remove the battery before adjusting settings or
changing accessories. Many accidents are
caused by power tools starting up unexpectedly.
Set up the grinder stand correctly before
installing the power tool. Correct assembly will
eliminate the risk of the stand collapsing during
use.
Install the power tool securely in the grinder
stand prior to use. Slipping of the power tool in
the grinder stand can result in loss of control.
Place the grinder stand on a firm, flat, hori-
zontal surface. If the grinder stand can slide or
wobble, the power tool cannot be guided evenly
and safety.
3 Special Safety Instructions
For your own protection and for the
protection of your power tool pay atten-
tion to all parts of the text that are
marked with this symbol!
Read the operating instructions supplied with the
installed angle grinder.
Pull the machine plug out of the plug socket before
any adjustments, conversions or servicing is
performed.
Always wear eye goggles and hearing
protection. Wear other protective gear if
necessary, such as a dust mask, gloves,
helmet and apron. When deciding if face or dust
masks are necessary, determine whether the
workpiece you wish to machine or the surface
coating are potentially harmful to health. In case of
doubt, wear protective clothing.
