To increase the life-cycle duration of the batteries it is recommended to set the keylock switch positioned
under the display to "OFF" (see fig. 1) after each use. This switch avoids the accidental switching on of
the device by locking the touch screen keys.
4) Remove run down batteries by sliding the cover of the batteries compartment, following the arrow direction.
Extract the batteries and dispose them as special waste at the specific collection points forecast for recycling.
For more information about the disposal of run down batteries, please contact either the store where the
device containing the batteries was purchased, or the Municipality, or the waste disposal local service.
Caution: For greater safety, children younger than 12 years should not remove the batteries.
DATE/TIME SETTING
1) Shift the "keylock" switch positioned under the display to "ON". Now, with off device, press simultaneously
the "ON/OFF" and "MEM" keys: on the display the corresponding year number blinks. (fig. 2)
Use the key "MEM" to adjust this value: by keeping it pressed, the scrolling of the numbers becomes
faster. Press the key "ON/OFF" to confirm it.
2) Now, the month blinks: adjust using the "MEM" key and confirm with the "ON/OFF" key.
3) Now, it blinks the day: adjust using the key "MEM" and confirm with the key "ON/OFF".
4) Now, the hours blink: adjust using the key "MEM" and confirm with the key "ON/OFF" (the display shows
the time in 24-hour format).
5) Now, the minutes blink: adjust using the key "MEM" and confirm with the key "ON/OFF".
The display shows the time, minutes and date. When batteries are inserted or replaced, the display shows
"12:00 1M 1D": at this point, set again the hours and minutes as described under points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Caution: the "ON/OFF" and "MEM" keys are touch screen keys.
To enable them, just touch with the finger the central part of the key where there is the label "ON/OFF" and
"MEM". To lock the touch screen keys, shift the keylock switch to "OFF".
APPLYING THE WRIST CUFF
These instructions must be followed in order to take measurements on either your right or left wrist.
We recommend measuring on the left wrist, but always use the same one even if the right
is used.
1) With the palm of your hand facing up, apply the instrument so that the edge of the cuff is approx. 1-2 cm
from your palm.

2) Apply the wrist cuff around your bare wrist and fasten it in place with the Velcro fastening.
3) The wrist cuff must be snug around your wrist, but not too tight.
PERFORMING A MEASUREMENT
1) After having positioned the device on the right or left wrist, unlock the touch screen keys by shifting the
keylock switch to "ON". Press the "ON/OFF" key.
When the device is on, the keys "ON/OFF" and "MEM" light. The device emits a long acoustic signal and,
on the display, all function symbols light for few seconds.
2) Should any previous measurements have been stored, the display shows the last measurement stored
and after some seconds, it shows "0".
At this point, the device is ready for the measurement. If there are no measurements stored, the display
shows "0" immediately.
3) The wristband starts inflating automatically.
4) On the display, the following values appear: systolic, diastolic, pulse, date and time of the measurement,
as well as the symbol
only if irregular pulse (arrhythmia) has been detected. Try to remain relaxed,
without speaking and without moving.
The segments appearing on the left of the display show the classification of the blood pressure values
(see paragraph "CLASSIFICATION OF THE BLOOD PRESSURE VALUES"). After the measurement, the
device emits a short acoustic signal.
Automatic re-pressurisation
The starting pre-set pressure level is 191 mmHg.
If the pre-set pressure is insufficient in the preliminary reading phase or if the hand or wrist is moved, the
unit will start inflating again until 228 mmHg are reached. Automatic re-pressurisation is repeated until
a valid reading is taken. However this is not sign of a fault with the appliance.
5) If you want to stop measuring for any reason, simply press the "ON/OFF" key and remove the cuff.
The unit switches off automatically if it is left idle for 1 minute, otherwise you can switch it off by pressing
the "ON/OFF" key. To increase the life-cycle duration of the batteries, lock the touch screen keys by shifting
the keylock switch to "OFF".
