By pressing the KARAOKE
VOCAL
FADER
button, the vocals on regular CDs and cassette
tapes are reduced throughout playback or when
there is audio input from a microphone, turning
them into karaoke music.

Types of vocal fading
There are two vocal fader modes.

While the KARAOKE
VOCAL
FADER
is on,
musical notes are displayed in the display for
F-eeconds every 25 seconds.
Notes on karaoke vocal fading
« This function does not work correctly with the
following CDs or tapes.
¢ Those with a monaural recording
¢ Those recorded with strong echoes
¢ Those with the vocal part recorded on the
right or left side of the sound width
e While the KARAOKE VOCAL FADER function
is turned on, the stereo sound source is heard
as monaural.
Notes on microphone mixing
e If a microphone is set too near a speaker,
feedback may be produced. In this case, keep
the microphone
away from the speaker, or
decrease the sound level.
For microphone mixing, a uni-directional type
of microphone
is recommended
to prevent
feedback.
¢ Do not set the microphone volume too high by
observing the spectrum analytical display.

Notas sobre la reduccién vocal para Karaoke
e Esta funcién no trabajara correctamente con
los discos compactos ni con los casetes:
® que estén grabados en forma monoaural
* cuya grabacién contenga ecos fuertes
* que tengan la parte vocal grabada en la
parte derecha o izquierda de la pista de
sonido
¢ Mientras la funcién de reduccién vocal para
karaoke (KARAOKE VOCAL
FADER) esté
activada, la fuente de sonido estéreo se oigaen
forma monoaural.
Notas sobre la mezcla con micrdéfono
e Si el micréfono esta demasiado cerda de un
altavoz, es posible que se produzca aullido. En
este caso, aleje el micréfono del altavoz o
disminuya el nivel del sonido.
e Para la mezcla con micréfono, se recomienda
emplear un micréfono unidireccional a fin de
evitar el aullido.
No ajuste el nivel de! micréfono demasiado alto
observando el visualizador.
