Never use the angle grinder without the
guard.
6. Operation
6.1 Charging the Lithium-Ion battery (not
included)
The corresponding instructions can be found
in the original operating instructions for your
charger.
6.2 Switching on (Fig. 5)
To start the equipment, push the On/Off switch
(2) forwards and press it down. To switch off the
angle grinder, depress the On/Off switch (2) at the
back. The On/Off switch (2) will jump back into its
starting position.
Wait until the machine has reached its
top speed. You can then position the angle
grinder on the workpiece and machine it.
Note: The equipment switches to "Standby Mode"
after 10 minutes of non-use. To reactivate: Switch
on the equipment twice or press the battery
capacity indicator. "Standby Mode" protects the
battery.
6.3 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 4 / item 7)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (8).
The battery capacity indicator (7) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashing:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs fl ashing:
The temperature of the battery is too low. Remove
the battery from the device and leave it at room
temperature for a day. If the error occurs again,
this means that the battery has been completely
depth-discharged and is defective. Remove the
battery from the device. Never use or charge a
defective battery.

6.4 Changing the grinding wheels (Fig. 6)
•
The wheel is easy to change using the
spindle lock and quick-clamp nut.
•
Press the spindle lock and allow the grinding
wheel to engage.
•
Undo the quick-clamp nut by turning it
counterclockwise by hand (see Fig. 6).
•
Change the grinding wheel or cutting wheel
and tighten the quick-clamp nut by turning it
clockwise by hand.
Warning!
The quick-clamp nut must be well tightened to
prevent it from working itself loose during use!
This can be done by turning the grinding wheel
clockwise with a strong tug while keeping the
spindle lock pressed! While you are doing this,
wear gloves to prevent injury.
Warning!
For safety reasons the quick-clamp nut (5) may
only be used for this angle grinder.
Notice!
Only ever press the spindle lock when
the motor and grinding spindle are at a
standstill! You must keep the spindle lock
pressed while you change the wheel!
For grinding or cutting wheels with a thickness of
up to approx. ⅛'' (3 mm), screw the quick-clamp
nut on with the fl at side facing the grinding or
cutting wheel.
6.5 Test run for new grinding wheels
Allow the angle grinder to run in idle for at least
1 minute with the grinding or cutting wheel fi tted
in place. Vibrating wheels are to be replaced
immediately.
6.6 Grinding wheels
•
The grinding or cutting wheel must never be
bigger than the stipulated diameter.
•
Check the specified rotating speed of the
grinding or cutting wheel before use.
•
The maximum speed of the grinding or
cutting wheel used must be higher than the
idle speed of the angle grinder.
•
Only use grinding or cutting wheels which are
approved for a minimum rotating speed of
8500 RPM and for a circumferential speed of
170 ft/s (52 m/s).
