It is imperative to wear the PPE prescribed by the manufacturer and specifically it is a
mandatory requirement to wear protective equipment suitable for the operations to be per-
formed. Wear protective goggles and ensure that your clothes are fitted. It is forbidden to
wear neckties, necklaces, belts or long hair not tied as they can be caught between the
moving parts. Use safety shoes with non-slip soles and anti-puncture and anti-vibration
gloves.
Wear protective goggles or a visor to protect your face and noise-reducing earmuffs.
2.2.3
Workplace safety
Only use the tool in good visibility conditions. A dimly lit work area may cause accidents. Do not perform work in poor
light conditions, like in the dark, at night, at dusk, at dawn or with dust or sand in the air impeding clear visibility below
2 metres.
IMPORTANT! The areas in which the machine is used must have adequate lighting of 100 lux with a
minimum uniformity of 0.7 over the work area and 50 lux, with uniformity of at least 0.3, in the immediate
vicinity.
Do not use the tool in hazardous conditions for the operator, on slippery ground and on steep slopes.
Prior to use, inspect the work area and check that no damage or significant effect on the safe use of the tool can be
created or create conditions of hindrance, tripping, etc.
Always ensure correct posture (legs slightly apart with one foot in front of the other for greater force of action, upright
torso and with both hands supporting the tool) respecting rest periods on use (one rest period per hour of work is
suggested), on position change during work.
Remove work residues frequently so that they do not cause tripping hazards or obstruct work activities and/or do not
become sources of additional risk such as, for example, risk of fire in the case of dry material, which can, in summer
periods, generate spontaneous combustion phenomena.
Do not use the tool in an explosive, flammable environment.
Make sure not to get the power unit wet, immersed or in contact with water, snow, damp surfaces in general (grass,
plants, etc.) in order to avoid damaging it.
Keep children, frail persons, observers or animals at a safe distance and out of the operating range of the tool
(observing at least 5 metres beyond the maximum operating range of the tool) before operating the tool in order to
avoid damage, danger or injury.
2.2.4
Electrical safety
Do not expose the tool before, during and/or after use to rain, wet environments, water, snow, ice, or any other
moisture conditions other than those permitted, in order to avoid the risk of electric shock and/or electrocution.
Keep the tool away from sources of heat, oil, solvents, and in any case do not use it in any environmental conditions
other than those indicated in the manual and permitted.
Keep it in a dry place.
Attention is drawn to the fact that in the event of damage or other condition with leakage of battery fluid, there may
be risks to personnel in the event of contact or other situation resulting from such leakage. Do not touch any liquid
from the battery pack. In case of contact, rinse immediately with clean water. If the liquid comes into contact with
your eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and immediately seek medical attention.
CAUTION!
Please refer to the documentation (manual, data sheet or pictograms) supplied with the battery for all indica-
tions and warnings to be observed and concerning the use of the battery.
CAUTION!
Read the following instructions carefully. Failure to comply may result in electric shock, electrocution, fire or
damage to animals, property and/or persons.
Use Warnings
