_____Function__
Non-Add/Date Key: The Non-Add/Date key prints entries for reference on the
left side of the tape, without affecting calculations. It prints and spaces reference
numbers such as dates or social security numbers. To space numbers, you insert
a decimal point at each place that a space is required in your entry.
Total Key: The Total key prints, displays and clears the current contents of the
accumulator.
Paper Advance Key: This key advances the paper tape.
Multiplication Key: The Multiplication key performs multiplication, automatic
constant multiplication and intermediate sequential operations. It establishes the
amount entered or the previous printed or printed/displayed amount as a
constant multiplicand.
The x key also causes the calculator to multiply when you depress the =, %,
M+, M-, x, or 4- key. Each multiplicand entry is retained as a constant (except
M+ and M- entries) until you depress the x,
or Clear.
Division Key: The Division key performs division, automatic constant division and
intermediate sequencial operations. It establishes the next amount as a constant
divisor.
The
r-
key also causes the calculator to divide when you depress the =, %, M + ,
M-, x, or -r key. Each divisor entry is retained as a constant (except M+ and
M- entries) until you depress the x,
Clear.
=
Equals Key: The Equals key completes multiplication, division, percent-of-change
and markup/markdown calculations.
%
Percent Key: The Percent key automatically converts a number to a percent and
completes a percentage calculation when used with the x or h- key. In percentage
calculations using multiplication, you can depress the + or - key immediately
following the result to perform add-on or discount calculation, respectively. The
Percent key also completes percent-of-change and markup/markdown calculations.
A
Percent-of-Change Key: Used in conjunction with the = key, this key auto-
A*
maticaily calculates the amount of the difference and percentage of change
A%
between two numbers.
ft/I
Markup/Markdown Key: Used in conjunction with the = or % key, this key
%
automatically calculates both markup and selling price. If you depress the
A*
Change-Sign key immediately before depressing the = key, both markdown and
*
selling price are calculated.
NOTE: After each markdown calculation, depress the C/CE key to clear
the accumulator.
Grand Total Key: The contents of the Grand Total memory can be recalled via
this key. Pressing this key simultaneously dears the memory. If the capacity is
exceeded when a calculation is made, the contents of the memory accumulated
up to then are retained and can be recalled.
