4. Cutting operation
a) Using the blade
Always cut from right to left.
A metal blade cuts best to the point 1/3 from the edge. Use this area for cutting thick, tough brush
and weeds. For cutting young grass, you can use a maximum of 2/3 of the blade tip.
Adjust the motor speed according to the cutting objects. Cut young grass at medium speed and
cut through tough bushes and thick undergrowth at high speed.

(4) Direction of rotation
important
Low speed operation makes it easier for grass, brush or branches to be caught by the blades but also
causes the shaft and clutch to wear more quickly.
b) Use of the cutting line
Cutting with nylon line consumes a lot of energy. Please note that the rotating speed of the motor in operation should be 50%
higher than when using the metal sheet.
The nylon line cuts the grass by the power of rotation. If you try to cut the grass with the full length of the line at once, the rotation
speed becomes lower due to the resistance and you cannot cut as well. In case of strong resistance, move the nylon cutter away
from the grass, wait for the rotation speed to increase and cut a small amount of grass at a time.
If you try to cut grass by moving the brushcutter in reverse (from left to right), grass clippings may fly in the direction of your body.
You can avoid dirtying your clothes.
7. maintenance
1. Blade
Sharpen each cut edge and make sure the bottom corner is rounded (fig. F13).
Do not cool the blade with water in case of using a grinder for sharpening. It can cause cracks
in the blade.
2. After 25 hours of use
a) Air filter
Check and clean filter element in warm, soapy water if necessary. Dry it completely before insta-
lling. If the element breaks or has shrunk, replace it with a new one (fig. F14).
