d) Liquid may leak from the battery if used incorrect-
ly. Avoid contact with it. In case of accidental con-
tact, rinse with water. If the liquid gets into your
eyes, seek additional medical attention. Leaking
battery fluid may cause skin irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a damaged or modified battery. Dam-
aged or modified batteries can behave unpredictably
and cause fire, explosion or injury.
f) Do not expose a battery to fire or excessive tem-
peratures. Fire or temperatures above 130°C may
cause an explosion.
g) Follow all charging instructions and never charge
the battery or rechargeable tool outside the tem-
perature range specified in the operating manual.
Incorrect charging or charging outside the approved
temperature range can destroy the battery and in-
crease the risk of fire.
h) Never attempt to service damaged batteries. Any
type of battery maintenance shall be carried out only
by the manufacturer or an authorised customer ser-
vice centre.
5.1
Device-specific safety instructions
• The product shall not be operated by persons (includ-
ing children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities or who have inadequate experience or knowl-
edge.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried
out by children.
• Keep the product away from rain and moisture. Water
penetrating the product increases the risk of an elec-
tric shock.
• Avoid using the product at temperatures below +5°C.
• Do not leave the product unattended.
CAUTION
Operate the product for a short time only. Long, uninter-
rupted operation of more than 10 min. overheats the
product. Switch off the product immediately and let it
cool down for at least 10 mins
DANGER
Danger of injury!
Do not allow the items to be inflated above the pressure
intended for them. These can burst and lead to injuries
and/or material damage.
• Do not exceed the permissible power range of the
compressor. Do not inflate truck, tractor or other large
tyres.
• Do not work on materials that are or could be poten-
tially flammable or explosive.
• Never misuse the product.
• Always keep the product clean, dry and free from oil
or grease. Remove dust after each use and before
storage.
• Never use petrol or other flammable liquids to clean
the product! Vapours remaining in the product can be
ignited by sparks and cause the product to explode.
• Remain attentive at all times! Always pay attention
to what you are doing and always use common
sense. Never use the product if you are unable to
concentrate or feel unwell.
• Avoid over-stressing the piping system by using flexi-
ble hose connections to prevent kinking.
• In case of pressures above 7 bar, it is recommended
to equip supply hoses with a safety cable (e. g. a wire
rope).
• Do not touch the hot components of the product!
• Ensure that all hoses and fixtures are suitable for the
maximum permissible working pressure of the com-
pressor.
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is un-
avoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
The machine should be supplied via a residual current de-
vice (RCD) with a trigger current of no more than 30 mA.
Residual risks
The product has been built according to state-of-the-
art and the recognised technical safety rules. Howev-
er, individual residual risks can arise during opera-
tion.
• Damage to hearing if the stipulated hearing protection
is not worn.
• Residual risks can be minimised if the "Safety Instruc-
tions" and the "Intended Use" together with the oper-
ating manual as a whole are observed.
• Use the product in the way that is recommended in
this operating manual. This is how to ensure that your
product provides optimum performance.
• Furthermore, despite all precautions having been met,
some non-obvious residual risks may still remain.
WARNING
This power tool generates an electromagnetic field
during operation. This field can impair active or passive
medical implants under certain circumstances. In order
to prevent the risk of serious or deadly injuries, we rec-
ommend that persons with medical implants consult
with their physician and the manufacturer of the medical
implant prior to operating the power tool.
WARNING
In case of extended working periods, the operating per-
sonnel may suffer circulatory disturbances in their
hands (vibration white finger) due to vibrations.
Raynaud's syndrome is a vascular disease that causes
the small blood vessels on the fingers and toes to
cramp in spasms. The affected areas are no longer
supplied with sufficient blood and therefore appear ex-
tremely pale. The frequent use of vibrating products can
cause nerve damage in people whose circulation is im-
paired (e.g. smokers, diabetics).
If you notice unusual adverse effects, stop working im-
mediately and seek medical advice.
