5.3 Dust extraction
Important!
Connect the adapter to a dust extraction system
or a vacuum cleaner. This will provide excellent
extraction of chips and dust.
5.3.1 Connecting the dust extractor hose
(Fig. 4 / Item 6)
1. Insert the dust extractor hose (6) into the ope-
ning (b) in the telescopic extension (4)
2. Lock the hose by turning the ring (c) as
shown in Fig. 4
Dust is extracted directly through the abrasive
paper and the sanding head (8).
5.3.2 Connecting the dust extractor adapter
for an external dust extraction system (Fig. 5
/ Item 7)
1. Slide the dust extractor adapter (7) on to the
dust extractor hose (6).
2. Lock the dust extractor adapter (7) by turning
it as shown in Fig. 5
5.3.3 Connecting the dust catch bag
(Figs. 6-8 / Item 12)
1. Slide the dust catch bag (12) on to the dust
extractor hose (6).
2. Lock the dust catch bag (12) by turning it as
shown in Fig. 6
To seal the dust catch bag (12) so that it is dust-
tight, proceed as follows (Fig. 7)
1. Close the dust catch bag (12)
2. Roll it up as far as the white line
3. Connect the quick-release lock together
To open the dust catch bag (12), proceed in re-
verse order. (Fig. 8)
Caution!
For health safety reasons it is imperative that you
use a dust extractor.
5.4 Fastening the grinding/sanding paper
(Fig. 9)
The hook-and-loop fastener enables easy chan-
ging of the abrasive paper. Make sure that the
vacuum extraction holes on the abrasive paper
and the sanding head (8) are aligned.

5.5 Lock for ceiling work (Fig. 10 / Item 9)
The sanding head (8) can be locked in such a
way that the sanding surface always faces up-
wards.
This makes it easy to position it on the ceiling.
To lock the sanding head (8) in this way, attach
the rubber clip (9b) to the provided hook (9a) as
shown in Fig. 10.
5.6 Perimeter work (Fig. 11)
For perimeter work, remove the cover (d) as
shown in Fig. 11 and turn the housing of the san-
ding head (8) into the required position.
5.7 Charging the Li battery pack (Fig. 12-13)
1. Remove the battery pack (e) from the handle,
pressing the pushlock button (f) downwards
to do so.
2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as
that marked on the rating plate of the battery
charger. Insert the power plug of the charger
(i) into the socket outlet. The green LED will
then begin to fl ash.
3. Push the battery pack (e) onto the battery
charger.
In section 10 (Charger indicator) you will fi nd a
table with an explanation of the LED indicator on
the charger.
If the battery pack fails to charge, check for the
following:
voltage at the power socket
whether there is good contact at the charging
contacts of the charging unit
If the battery pack still fails to charge, send
the charger and charging adapter
and the battery pack
to our customer service center.
To ensure that items are properly packaged
and delivered when you send them to us,
please contact our customer service or the
point of sale at which the equipment was
purchased.
When shipping or disposing of batteries and
cordless tools, always ensure that they are
packed individually in plastic bags to prevent
short circuits and fi res.
