Please note!
Only charge the battery at an ambient tempera-
ture of 10 to 40 °C!
To protect the battery from harmful total di-
scharge while in operation, the charge status
is permanently monitored electronically and the
device will switch off before it reaches the critical
discharge condition. The battery will now need to
be recharged. Do not attempt to put the device
back into operation with a discharged battery!
The charging process can be interrupted at any
time and continued without damage to the battery.
Caution!
Drastically reduced operating times after the
charging process indicates that the battery
needs to be replaced!
If, after inserting the battery into the opening
provided for this purpose, the yellow LED does
not light up permanently but fl ashes, the cause
may be too high a temperature, a defect or total
discharge of the battery.
• If the battery is too hot, the charging process
will start automatically after it cools down.
• If, on the other hand, the battery has a nor-
mal temperature but is totally discharged,
the charger checks whether it is still drawing
current or is already defective.
• If the battery is recoverable, the yellow LED
lights up continuously after some time, sig-
nalling the successful charging process.
• If the yellow LED fl ashes, the battery is de-
fective and needs to be disposed of; see also
"Note on disposal within the EU" later on in
these instructions.
Accessories and bits and cutters
When working with different screw heads, the
appropriate bits must be used. The tool holder
of the screwdriver is designed for ¼" (i.e. 6.35
mm) hexagon bits. A selection is included.
Please note in general:
Proxxon bits and cutters are designed to work
with our machines and are therefore optimally
suited for use with them.
We will not assume any liability whatsoever
for the safe and proper function of our devices
when using bits and cutters from other manu-
facturers!

Locking the rocker switch
If the switch lock pos. 7 (Fig. 1) is pushed
backwards, the rocker switch pos. 4 (Fig. 1)
is locked and cannot be operated! This is to
prevent unintentional start-up of the unit, e.g.
during transport or storage.
Please note before commissioning the unit:
For transport reasons, the rocker switch is lo-
cked on delivery. Before operating the rocker
switch, please push the locking switch forward.
Setting the torque
The torque can be preselected by turning the
torque setting ring Pos. 1 (Fig. 1). 21 settings
are possible and are marked by corresponding
numbers.
Caution!
The torque must be selected individually for the
respective application. General recommenda-
tions are therefore not possible. It is advisable
to try out the correct torque before working, if
possible, or to adjust it as you work.

The "
" position of the torque setting ring
should be selected if carrying out particularly
powerful screwdriving or drilling.
