Motor overheats
Loss of power
Frequent tripping of circuit breaker
Snipe
Planed surface not smooth
Difficulties in adjusting rollercase
height
EN

Cause
Motor overload
Excessive dust build-up resulting in
decreased circulation
Circuit breaker tripped
Motor overload
Inadequate capacity of circuit breaker
Circuit overload
Blades are dull
Inadequate support of workpiece
Blades are dull
Uneven force on cutter head
Rollercase (1) is not parallel with table
Workpiece is not butted correctly
Blades are dull
Fuzzy grain due to high moisture content
in wood
Torn grain due to blades cutting against
the grain
The cut is too deep
Uneven thickness from side to side
Rollercase lock is engaged
Worn elevation screws
Dirty elevation screws
Rollercase is not positioned parallel with
table
Inadequate capacity of circuit breaker
Solution
Reduce load on motor. Turn 'OFF' the machine
until motor cools down
Remove dust build-up
Turn 'OFF' mains power and press circuit
breaker reset switch
Reduce load on motor
Replace with correct circuit breaker
Reduce circuit load
Sharpen or replace blades
Support long workpiece with additional
platform
Replace blades
Push workpiece gently during operation
Adjust table and Rollercase level correctly
Butt end to end each workpiece as it passes
through thicknesser
Replace blades
Use dry wood
Change direction and feed workpiece along
the grain
Decrease depth of cut
Rollercase is not positioned level with
thicknesser base. Adjust Rollercase alignment
Release rollercase lock
Replace elevation screws
Clean and lubricate elevation screws
Realign rollercase
Clean and adjust rollercase
