3. Calf muscles and foot tendon stretching
Standing with both hands against the wall, place one leg
back. Keep your back leg straightened and the heel on the
floor, lean toward the wall. Hold this position for 10-15
seconds, then relax. Repeat 3 times for each leg (Figure 3).
4. Quadriceps stretching
Keep your balance leaning on a wall or table with your left
hand, then move your right hand back, grab your right heel
and pull it slowly towards your buttocks until you feel tension
in the muscle in the front of your thigh. Hold this position for
10-15 seconds, then relax. Repeat 3 times for each leg (Figure
4).
5. Sartorius (muscle on the inner side of the thigh)
stretching
Sit with the soles of your feet touching one another and your
knees bent outwards. Grab both feet with your hands and
pull them towards your groin. Hold this position for 10-15
seconds, then relax. Repeat 3 times (Figure 5).
