REPAIR
IMPORTANT: Carefully inspect all parts for wear or damage. Replace
components, as necessary. The Repair Parts List gives information on
replacement parts and kits. Review the Safety Instructions before proceeding.

Replace Overhaul Kit Parts
1.
Remove hitch clip pin and short clevis pin from handle (see Figure 2).
2.
Carefully lay handle down and out of the way.
3.
Remove the (2) retainer screws and the retainer from back of pump (see
Figure 2).
4.
Remove bearing from piston cavity (see Figure 2).
5.
Using a small-hooked tool, pull the (3) compressed packing seals from
piston cavity.
6.
Remove (6) piston cover screws, piston cover and piston seal.
7.
Remove piston and liner from piston cavity.
8.
Pull piston ring from groove on outside of piston.
9.
Install new piston ring into groove of piston (see Figure 4).
10. Install new piston liner by wrapping flat liner with bent flanges to the outside
(see Figure 3). Bent flanges should be below outlet port
(see Figure 4).
11. Reinstall piston. If needed, wrap old liner around outside of piston to help
guide into new liner (see Figure 4).
12. Install new piston seal onto back of piston cover. Make sure seal is
completely seated (see Figure 4).
13. Reinstall piston cover plate and screws. Tighten screws securely.
14. Install (3) new packing seals, making sure all seals are seated completely
inside the cavity (see Figure 2).
15. Reinstall the bearing, making sure the chamfered edge is installed inward
(see Figure 2).
16. Reinstall retainer and retainer screws, and tighten securely
(see Figure 2).
17. Lift handle up and reinstall the short clevis pin and hitch clip pin through
desired hole setting in handle (see Figure 3) and piston shaft.
