INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up
the broken plug.
2. Insert Pusher Body (1) to bottom of spark
plug threads with Pusher Screw (2) backed
completely out. Next screw Pusher Screw
(2) down until it bottoms out against top of
Pusher Body (1). This pushes the porcelain
to the end of the spark plug tube tip which
gives you enough room for tip of Puller
Screw (5) to work. There is no guessing on
how far to run the Pusher Screw (2) down.
The porcelain cannot be pushed through
the spark plug tip since it is retained by the
taper of the tip and the design of the tool
controls the overall length the porcelain
can be pushed.
3. Remove Pusher Assembly using big hex
on Pusher Body (1).
4. Place Puller Housing (3) into hole.
5. Slide in Puller Screw (5).
6. Turn Puller Screw (5) counterclockwise
(left hand thread) until tight. Make sure to
engage as many threads as possible. It will
turn hard. If there are not enough threads
on the Puller Screw (5) engaged, the tip can
break off and remain in the spark plug tip.
7. Put Nylon Gasket and Left Hand Hex
Nut on Puller Screw (5). Tighten against
Housing.
8. Turn Nut counterclockwise to pull plug
from hole.
Turn plug tip clockwise to remove from
Puller Screw. This process should leave no
shavings in
motor. Inspect the cylinder for any broken
porcelain before installing new spark plug.
ATTENTION: Make sure ring comes out with plug
and not left in hole.
There may be very limited occasions when
even this tool cannot pull the stuck spark
plug tip and removal of the head may still
be necessary.
