Inserting the fastener guide
1. Pull the nail pusher down until it engages.
2. Unload the magazine. → page 15
3. Slide the fastener guide into the nosepiece until it is heard to engage.
4. Grip and pull the fastener guide to check that it is securely seated.

Fitting the magazine
WARNING
Crush hazard! Allowing the nail pusher to snap back under spring pressure may result in finger injuries and
cause damage to the fastening tool.
▶ Do not let go of the nail pusher and do not allow it to snap forward. Instead, slide it as slowly as possible
all the way forward to the limit of its travel.
1. Pull the nail pusher back until it engages.
The magazine cannot be fitted if the nail pusher has not been pulled back until it engages in the
rearmost position.
2. Engage the front end of the magazine at the nose of the fastening tool.
3. Pivot the magazine towards the setting tool as far as it will go.
4. Close the magazine locking catch.
5. Release the nail pusher and guide it forward as far as it will go.

Removing the magazine
WARNING
Do not let go of the nail pusher. When the magazine is being removed there is a possibility of nail strips
flying out if the nail pusher is not latched in position.
▶ Do not let go of the nail pusher and do not allow it to snap forward. Instead, slide it as slowly as possible
all the way forward to the limit of its travel.

1. Pull the nail pusher back until it engages.
2. Remove all nail strips from the magazine.
3. Release the magazine locking catch.
4. Pivot the magazine about the pivot point towards the front.
5. Detach the magazine.
6. Release the nail pusher and guide it forward as far as it will go.

Working safely with the belt and scaffold hook
▶ Before beginning work, make sure that the belt hook / scaffold hook is securely attached to the product.
▶ Use the belt hook / scaffold hook only when necessary. Put the product safely aside if it is to remain
unused for a lengthy period of time.

▶ Use only the Hilti tool tether recommended for your product.
▶ Prior to each use, always check the attachment point of the tool tether for possible damage.
▶ Do not secure a tool tether to the belt hook. Do not use a belt hook to lift the product.
