INSTALLATION
Restraining Cable Installation
Contents: Round Head Bolt and Washer, Washer and Nut, Restraining Cable, Cable Bracket,
Warning label (used only if appliance is equipped with casters)
The restraining cable must be installed and must always remain connected while the gas line is attached.
This prevents the connector from being pulled beyond its limits and causing a potential hazard.
1. Attach the cable bracket to the wall using the four screws. It is recommended to hit metal or drywall
stud. If unable to do this, you may use the optional plastic anchors provided. Make sure bracket is
properly secured.
2. CAUTION – Check before drilling to make sure
that the drill bit will not come into contact with
any parts of the appliance when the bit goes
through the metal exterior. Drill a 1/4 inch hole
into the appliance in a location where a nut may
be securely tightened on the opposite side.
3. Install the round-head restraining bolt by placing
a washer on the bolt and then inserting the bolt
into the newly drilled hole.
4. Once the bolt is through the hole, place a washer
on the bolt inside of the appliance. Secure the bolt
with the lock nut provided.
5. Install the Restraining Cable on both attachments
by opening the hooks on each end and then
snapping them closed.
6. If appliance is equipped with casters, permanently
attach restraining warning label in a prominent position on the appliance.
Cleaning Behind Equipment
Disconnecting the Gas Hose
1. Make sure the control knobs of the appliance are turned "OFF".
2. Turn off the gas supply.
3. Carefully pull the appliance away from the wall.
4. Pull back the sleeve on the female half of the Quick Disconnect Device. Pull out the nipple connected

coupling and keep clean.
5. Unclip one end of the Restraining Cable.
6. Carefully move the appliance away from the wall.
7. Clean the area behind the appliance. Make sure no cleaning solution or foreign substance comes into
contact with either part of the Quick Disconnect coupling or the gas hose.
Reconnecting the Gas Hose
1. Make sure that the appliance control knobs and the gas valve are turned "OFF".
2. Reconnect the two parts of the Quick Disconnect coupling by pushing the nipple into the female half.
3. Reattach the Restraining Cable.
4. Turn the gas valve "ON".
5. Carefully push the appliance back into position. Make sure that the gas hose is not twisted or kinked.
6. Make sure that the Gas Hose does not interfere with the appliance casters and that it is not pinched
