Installation
CAUTION! Make sure the unit is turned off and unplugged from the wall socket
before installing or changing any parts.
Selecting a suitable location for the unit
The appliance must be installed, used, and stored in a room with a floor area greater
than 10 m
.
2
Place the unit on a stable, level surface.
Ensure there is at least 50 cm of space around the entire unit to allow for good ventilation
and prevent the cold air outlet/air intake covers being blocked by household items, such
as curtains, furniture and walls.
Position the unit near to a window or door, and close to a mains socket.
Installing the exhaust system
Attach the exhaust connector to one end of the exhaust pipe by pushing the exhaust
pipe into the exhaust connector, then turning it clockwise until it clicks firmly into place.
Similarly attach the other end of the exhaust pipe to the window connector.
Assemble the bolt, washer and wing nut but do not tighten the wing nut yet. Slide the 2
parts of the adjustable window frame together. Open the window and extend the adjustable
frame to fit your window. Place the frame horizontally for sash windows and vertically for
horizontal sliding windows. Close the window and then secure the adjustable frame by
tightening the wing nut. Attach the window connector to the adjustable frame and press
firmly until it clicks into place. Use tape to secure the adjustable frame and cover all gaps
around the frame or window connector, to ensure maximum efficiency.
Attach the assembled exhaust pipe onto the back of the unit by aligning the grooves on the
exhaust connector with the slots on the exhaust outlet and sliding the exhaust connector
downwards to slot it in.
Extend the exhaust pipe as far as needed for the unit to be positioned in the desired
location. The exhaust pipe measures 30 to 150 cm long.
NOTE: Take care not to overstretch, crush or sharply bend the exhaust pipe, as
this may result in damage and/or a malfunction. Make sure there is a gap of at
least 50 cm between the unit and any other objects. Insufficient ventilation can
lead to overheating
.
