RECORD PLAYING
Follow in sequence the numbered operations of the diagram

Lower the amplifier volume.
Turn on the amplifier and set
the amplifier input selector to PHONO.
@ Place a record on the turntabie.

Select the speed (either 33 or 45) according to the record
speed that you wish to play.
eRemove
the stylus guard and release the clasp of the Arm
Rest.
€) Lift the Cueing Lever up.
o
Bring the Tonearm above the lead·in groove of the record
to start the turntabie.

By viewing the Stroboscope. adjust the speed with the Pitch
Control until the pattern appears stationary*.
For 60 Hz power line frequency area. use the upper two lines
of the Stroboscope. and for a 50 Hz area, the lower two lines.

• If the pattern moves to the right ... Turn the control to the
"F" (fast) direction
.If the pattern moves to the left ... Turn the control to the "S"
(slow) direction.

Lower the Cueing Lever.
The Tonearm will automatically
lower onto the record and the record playing begins.
o
Adjust the sound level, stereo balance and tone quality of the
amplifier according to your preference .
• After playing. the Tonearm automatically returns to its rest
and the unit is turned oft.
Secure the Tonearm to the rest.
NOTES
• For 17 cm (7·inch) records. put the 45·rpm Adaptor (supplied)
over the Center Spindie.
• Ta stop the turntable during play, push the REJECT button.
The Tonearm automatically returns to its rest and the unit is

Secure the Tonearm to the Arm Rest .
• To stop the turntable manually, lift the Cueing Lever up. and
the Tonearm will automatieally rise.
Then bring the Tonearm
to the Arm Rest.
The turntable will stop
Be sure to plaee
the Tonearm in the Arm Rest securely.
STYLUS REPLACEMENT
About 400 hours' use wlll wear out the stylus.
For replacement.
the stylus model ND-134G
IS
available at your Sony dealer.
Handle the stylus carefully as it is a highly precise and delicate
device.
Install the replacement stylus as follows:
1. Turn off the amplifier.
2. Remave the Shell from the Tonearm.
3. Grasp the green stylus assembly between the thumb and fore
finger and pull gently to remove the stylus.
See illustration.
4.
Insert the new stylus assembly into the cartridge.

MAINTENANCE
• No lubrlcation is required for this turntabie.
The motor shaft
is factory lubrrcated for the life of the turntabie.
• Clean the cabinet and dust cover periodically with a soft dry
cloth.
Do not use solvents such as alcohol. benzine or thinner.
since they will damage the finish.
.When the Rubber Mat becomes dusty. wipe it gently with a
soft cloth slightly dampened with water .
