The optimal grinding results are obtained when the grind-
ing belt is steadily moved back and forth under slight
pressure. The control electronics keep the belt speed
virtually constant during idle and load conditions for as-
sured, consistent work results. Too great a pressure re-
duces machine efficiency and the grinding belt's useful
life. The machine is equipped with an electronic control
and integrated overload protection. If the machine is over-
loaded the belt blocks briefly. Immediately remove all
loads on the machine and keep it running in the unloaded
state for a short time. Select a suitable belt speed.
When the contact pressure is too low the belt may
slip on the drive roller!

To work effectively and securely
keep the machine and the ventila-
tion slots clean at all times.
It is possible that particles deposit inside the power tool
during operation. This impairs the cooling of the power
tool. Conductive build-up can impair the protective insula-
tion of the power tool and cause electrical hazards.
The power tool should be cleaned regularly, often and
thoroughly through all front and rear air vents using a vac-
uum cleaner or by blowing in dry air. Prior to this opera-
tion, separate the power tool from the power source and
wear protective glasses and dust mask.
Clean the dust filter regularly: remove and clean with a jet
of compressed air.
Remove the battery pack periodically and wipe the con-
tact area of the battery pack and machine with a dry cloth
and remove deposits.
