3.3 WIRELESS SPECIFICATIONS
Wireless Communication Specifications

For the communication range between the wireless-ready tool and the controller, the
horizontal distance is about 10 m (32.8 Ft) in a place with no obstacles.
Please be aware that in the following use environments, the tool may be affected by
radio waves (noise), the communication range of radio waves may become short, or
it may not operate.
• There are some barriers hindering radio waves, such as metal and reinforced concrete,
between the wireless-ready tool and the controller.
• The controller antenna is covered with a metal cover.
• Between a worker (the wireless-ready tool) and the controller, radio waves are interrupted
by a part of the worker's body.
• The tool is close to a microwave oven, PC, or other devices that emit radio waves (noise).
• A cellphone or a PHS phone is used near the wireless-ready tool and the controller.
