Installation Instructions

NOTES
You can install this drain for either countertop or
S
under-the-lavatory control. The lift rod and
escutcheon required for countertop installation
must be ordered separately.
Both a long and short ball lever assembly are
S
provided. Use whichever assembly suits your
installation and design needs. We recommend the
long ball lever for countertop installations.
For new installations, install the drain to the
S
lavatory before installing the lavatory.
Observe all local plumbing codes.

INSTALLATION
Disassemble the drain components. Remove the protective
material from the stopper and drain flange.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant to the
underside of the drain flange according to the putty
manufacturer's instructions. Insert the drain flange into the
lavatory drain hole.
Assemble the tapered gasket and large plastic washer to
the drain flange, and partially thread the long or short
locknut to the drain flange. Use the long locknut for
thin-wall lavatories. Use the short locknut for thick-wall
models. Do not tighten the locknut at this time.
Install the small plastic washer and the drain body to the
drain flange, and tighten securely. Do not use thread
sealant.
