OPERATION
TO PLAY RECORDS
1. Set amplifier input selector switch to PHONO.
2. Turn on EQUALIZER switch (2 on equalizer.
3. Play record.
4. Adjust equalizer controls @.
- TO RECORD BROADCASTS
You can record on a tape deck connected to the equalizer or on a tape
deck connected directly to the amplifier.
- If the amplifier has a rec selector (REC SELECTOR), set it
to SOURCE or TAPE COPY 2 — 1.
1. Select TUNER as the amplifier input.
2. Turn on EQUALIZER switch (2 on equalizer.
3. Tune in desired station.
4. Adjust equalizer controls (6.
5. Begin recording.
* Some amplifiers do not permit recording equalized sound on a deck
connected to the amplifier TAPE 2 jacks.
TO PLAY TAPES
1. Select TAPE as the amplifier input.
2. If tape deck is connected directly to amplifier, turn off equalizer
TAPE MONITOR '> switch.
If tape deck is cennbetee to equalizer, turn on equalizer TAPE
MONITOR @) switch.
3. Turn on EQUALIZER switch (12) on equalizer.
4. Play tape.
5. Adjust equalizer controls (6.
TO EDIT TAPES
To transfer music from the tape deck connected to the amplifier to the
tape deck connected to the equalizer:
Select TAPE as the amplifier input.
Turn off equalizer TAPE MONITOR switch (9).
Turn on EQUALIZER switch (2 on equalizer.
Play tape in tape deck connected to amplifier.

. Begin recording on tape deck connected to equalizer.

To transfer music from the tape deck connected to the equalizer to the
tape deck connected to the amplifier:
If the amplifier has a rec selector (REC SELECTOR), set it

USING THE MEMORY
PRESET AND PROGRAM
EFFECTS
There are five equalization presets: HEAVY, CLEAR, SOFT, VISUAL,
and VOCAL. Five more equalization curve ''programs'' can be stored.
STORING EQUALIZATION CURVES IN MEMORY
1. Adjust the equalizer controls.

2. Press the MEMORY switch @.
The indicator will flash for about five seconds.
3. Press one of the memory recall switches (18) (A through E) before
the indicator stops flashing.

MEMORY RECALL
1. Press the PRESET/PROGRAM
switch (9 to select the presets or
your own programmed effects.
© When the PRESET indicator is on, you can select any of the preset
effects: HEAVY, CLEAR, SOFT, VISUAL, or VOCAL.

effects stored in A through E.

USING THE REVERSE SWITCH
This turns the current. equalization curve upside down. After record-
ing a tape with equalization, you can return the sound to normal by
turning on this switch with the same equalization setting.
