Troubleshooting
The following information should provide help if something is not working as would be expected.
Overheating Protection
The shredder switches off automatically in the event of overheating. The "Overheat" status LED
lights up.

Wait at least 40 minutes until the shredder has cooled down. Observe the minimum clearance
to walls and the information on continuous operation in Section Technical Data.
Î When the cool down phase has elapsed, the "Ready" status LED lights up blue and the
shredding process resumes.
Overload Protection
If you have inserted more material than is specified in Section Technical Data, the "Overload"
status LED lights up and the shredder starts automatic reverse running for 5 seconds.

Press the "Reverse" button.

Pull the material out of the shredder.
Î The blockage has now been cleared.
Paper Jam in Automatic Infeed
If a paper jam occurs while individual sheets of paper are being inserted automatically, press the
"Reverse" button and clear the paper jam.

Pull the material out of the shredder.
Î You have cleared the paper jam.
If the paper has jammed further in the infeed rollers and cutting mechanism, open the top "access
panel 1" to gain access to the cutting mechanism.
Caution!
Risk of injury through sharp edge of cutting mechanism! Take the utmost care when
removing the material residue.

Disconnect the power plug from the power socket.

Open the top "access panel 1" by moving the two access pins inwards, towards each other,
and raising the access panel.
