OPERATING MODES
Mode
The BMS has not detected any fault, the protec-
tive tripping device is closed and the battery is
Normal
fully operational.
In this condition, the battery can deliver energy
to the load and receive energy from the charger.
Mode
The BMS has not detected any fault, the pro-
tective tripping device is open and the battery is
Disabled
fully disabled.
In this condition, the battery cannot deliver en-
ergy to the load and cannot receive energy from
the charger.

5.
GUIDELINES AND SAFETY
MEASURES
5.1 General information
• Do not dismantle, puncture, open or shred the
batteries.
• Do not hit the battery with sharp-edged objects
such as lugs, pins or needles.
• Do not solder directly to the battery or pierce
the battery with nails or other sharp objects.
• Do not expose the batteries to heat or fire.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
• Do not use or leave the battery near a heat
source such as fire or heating.
• Do not throw the battery into fire or heating sys-
tems.
• Do not immerse the battery in water or sea wa-
ter.
• Do not short circuit the battery by directly con-
necting the positive and negative terminals with
a metal object.
• Do not leave the batteries in a box or a drawer
where they might short circuit or be shorted cir-
cuited by other metal objects.
• Do not transport or store the batteries together
with metal objects, such as necklaces, which
could cause an accidental short circuit.
• Do not remove the battery from its original
packaging before use.
• Do not subject the batteries to mechanical
shock.
• If a battery leaks, do not allow the liquid to
come into contact with skin or eyes. If contact
occurs, wash the affected area with plenty of
water and seek medical advice.
• Only use chargers specifically designed to
charge LiFePO4 batteries.
• The batteries must be charged before use. Al-
ways use a charger suitable for LiFePO4 bat-
teries and refer to the manufacturer's instruc-
tions or equipment manual for the appropriate
charging instructions.
• Do not leave a battery charging for an extend-
ed period when not in use.
