3.2 Commissioning
Before lighting the boiler
• Check the tightness of the gas system.
• Check correct expansion vessel precharge.
• Fill the hydraulic system and make sure that all air contained in the boiler and the system has
been vented.
• Make sure there are no water leaks in the system, DHW circuits, connections or boiler.
• Make sure there are no flammable liquids or materials near the boiler.
• Check correct connection of the electrical system and efficiency of the grounding system.
• Fill the trap (see cap. 2.7 "Condensate drain connection").
IF THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT OBSERVED
B
THERE MAY BE RISK OF SUFFOCATION OR POISON-
ING DUE TO GAS OR FUMES ESCAPING; DANGER
OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION. ALSO, THERE MAY BE A
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FLOODING THE
ROOM.
First boiler startup
• Make sure there is no draw-off of hot water and room thermostat requests.
• Turn on the gas and check that the gas supply pressure ahead of the unit complies with the
technical data table or in any case the tolerance provided for by the regulations.
• Power the boiler electrically, the software version number appears on the display and then FH
and Fh air venting cycle (see cap. 1.3 "Connection to the power supply, turning on and off" on
page 241).
• After the Fh cycle, the display will show the winter mode screen (fig. 7); do the temperature ad-
justments: heating flow and DHW outlet (fig. 11 and fig. 12). Check if the value of the flue pa-
rameter, P68 - *** '- Transparent Parameters Table' on page 275 ***, is suitable for the length
of flue installed.
• In case of gas change (G20 - G30 - G31 - G230), check if the relevant parameter is suitable for
the type of gas present in the supply system (*** '- Transparent Parameters Table' on page 275
*** and cap. 3.1 "Adjustments" on page 270).
• Put the boiler in DHW or heating mode (see cap. 1.3 "Connection to the power supply, turning
on and off" on page 241).
• Do a request in Heating mode: the radiator symbol appears on the display and the actual heat-
ing system temperature is displayed.
• DHW mode with draw-off of hot water: the faucet symbol appears on the display and the actual
DHW temperature is displayed.
• Do the combustion check as described in par. "Checking the combustion values" on page 271.
