4. Use
Batteries must be inserted before the first use.
Insert/replace/remove batteries:
1. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the underside of
the head section. Remove the lid.
2. Insert the battery according to the illustration in the bat-
tery compartment.
3. When closing the battery compartment, make sure that the
sealing ring under the edge of the cover is correctly seated in
its socket and screw the cover back on. Tighten the screws
securely to prevent water from entering the device.
Installation
• Choose a suitable location where the device can be easily
seen by the animals. If the ground is soft, the ground spike
is simply stuck into the ground. The head of the device can
be removed to prevent damage it during insertion.
• If the ground is too hard, dig a suitable hole with a spade or
use the Gardigo Hole Digger (item no. 70040).
• Alternatively, the device can also be placed in a plant pot.
Application
• Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device. The device
emits a flash of light and indicates the function.
• In daylight the device will automatically deactivate the
flash function. Thanks to the built-in twilight sensor, the
flash function starts up automatically when it gets dark.
• The device emits light in all directions and can be seen by
the animals even from a great distance. Blue light signals
danger for the animals.
• We recommend switching off the device from time to time
to prevent the habituation effect.
Note: the response of each animal to our animal repellent
may vary. The development of our devices, methods and ap-
plication tips are based on experience, testing and feedback
from our customers. Therefore the devices are successful in
most cases.

6. General Information
The CE conformity has been declared. All documents are at
our office and can be viewed. It should be noted that operat-
ing or connection errors or damage caused by non-observance
of the operating instructions are beyond the control of Gardi-
go and no liability can be assumed for resulting damages and

the warranty can only be applied to a fully equipped device in
prime condition. This applies especially if alterations or repair
attempts have been made, if the circuitry has been modi-
fied or components have been used, other than the original
components and/or if the operation of the device has been
incorrect, careless or abusive. In all these cases, the warranty
expires.

Regulation on the dis-
posal of old electronic
equipment, rechargeable
batteries, batteries and
lamps
The symbol of the crossed-out bin indicates that electrical and
electronic equipment, batteries, rechargeable batteries and
lamps may not be disposed of together with household waste.
It is legal obligation to collect these separately and dispose of
them at an approved collection point (e.g. local recycling centre
or retailer).
Many retailers are legally obliged to take back goods, free of
charge. Devices, batteries, rechargeable batteries and lamps
may be returned to us by post, free of charge (company ad-
dress). Contact your public waste disposal authority to find out
where devices, batteries, rechargeable batteries and lamps can
be returned for an environmentally friendly disposal.
Consumers are obliged to separate batteries and rechargeable
batteries that are not enclosed by the device, as well as lamps
that can be removed without destroying them, from the device
before disposal at the collection point.
If there are chemical signs under the crossed-out wheeled bin
symbol, the battery/rechargeable battery contains materials
which, if handled incorrectly, can seriously damage the environ-
ment and health.
The symbols have the following meaning:
Pb: > 0.004 mass percent lead;
Cd: > 0.002 mass percent cadmium;
Hg: > 0.0005 mass percent mercury.
