LRF-04
User''s manual
This option should always be activated when the limiter is installed in places with a high
level of ambient noise, (bars, pubs etc.) or has an emission limit below 90 dBA. In this
case the level detected by the sensor may be higher than the programmed limit. To
activate this option the internal self-checking system must be activated.
Sound insulation: This allows you to introduce sound insulation (level difference) in
decibels (dB) between the emitting and receiving establishments. This insulation will be
provided for the following octave bands with central frequencies of 31.5 Hz, 63 Hz, 125
Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4kHz and 8 kHz.
Attenuation time: This allows you to introduce the 60 dB penalisation that will be applied
when the attenuation needed to prevent the programmed limit from being exceeded is
higher than 50 dB. If 0 seconds are programmed, 60 dB attenuation will not take place.
Non-working periods: An option that allows you to programme up to 30 non-working
•
periods, during which the maximum sound pressure level may be exceeded without
penalisation.
Leq time: This allows you to define the duration of equivalent sound level measurement
•
to be stored in the memory.
Leq time may be programmed between 2 minutes and 1 hour. The shorter the Leq time,
the more detailed the information obtained, although the memory will fill sooner. When
this occurs, the limiter continues to store records by overwriting the earliest records
(FIFO Buffer). To store one month's information, define a Leq time equal to or longer
than 3 minutes. We recommend programming the LRF-04 with a Leq time of 5 minutes.
The technical specifications (chapter 7) give the storage capacity of the LRF-04. The
LRF-04 memory may be extended to store more detailed information of longer duration.
For further details, consult your official
Continuous printing: This option allows you to print the following information at the end of
measurement of each Leq interval, as long as a printer is connected:
Date and time of the beginning of the interval
−
Date and time of the end of the interval
−
Value of the equivalent continuous level measured during this interval in the
−
emitting establishment
Max LF limit: This allows you to introduce the maximum Fast limit permitted. The LRF-04
records the time during which the limit was exceeded. This data is for your information
only and will never be used to attenuate the music level in the room.
Modem parameters: This option allows you to select the number of rings the LRF-04 will
wait before answering a request received via the modem.
Language: This allows you to choose the language in which all the messages on the
LCD display and in the printouts will appear.
Delete records: This allows you to delete all the information stored in the LRF-04
memory except for the programming, the counter that registers the number of times
records have been deleted and the records of the last 10 deletions.
Transport: This allows you to completely switch off the LRF-04 so that it may be stored
or transported. To carry out this operation: 1) Select the Transport option from the
programming menu; 2) Disconnect the LRF-04 from the mains and 3) press ENTER (C).
Change password: This allows you to change the password.
