Protect the battery against heat, e.g. against continuous intense
sunlight, fire, dirt, water and moisture. There is a risk of explosion
and short-circuiting.
The measuring tool may not be 100 % accurate for technological reasons. To
u
eliminate hazards, familiarise yourself with further sources of information, such
as building plans and photographs taken during construction, etc. before carry-
ing out any drilling, sawing or routing work on walls, ceilings or floors. Environ-
mental influences, such as humidity, or proximity to devices that generate strong elec-
tric, magnetic or electromagnetic fields, moisture, metallic building materials, foil-
laminated insulation materials or conductive wallpaper or tiles may impair the accur-
acy of the measuring tool. The number, type, size and position of the objects may dis-
tort the measuring results.
If there are gas pipes in the building, check to ensure that none of them have
u
been damaged after completing any work on walls, ceilings or floors.
When attaching objects to dry walls, and in particular when attaching them to
u
the substructure, check to ensure that both the wall and the fastening materials
have a sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Safety instructions for power supply
This power supply is not intended for use by children or persons with physical,
u
sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge. This power
supply can be used by children aged 8 or older and by persons who have phys-
ical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge if a per-
son responsible for their safety supervises them or has instructed them in the
safe operation of the power supply and they understand the associated dangers.
Otherwise, there is a risk of operating errors and injuries.
Do not expose the power supply to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the
power supply will increase the risk of electric shock.
Keep the power supply clean. Dirt poses a risk of electric shock.
u
Always check the power supply before using it. Stop using the power supply if
u
you discover any damage. Do not open the power supply yourself, and have it re-
paired only by Bosch or by an authorised after-sales service centre using only
original replacement parts. Damaged power supplies increase the risk of an electric
shock.
