After you press the buttons above, operation starts with a signal beep sound.
Note
After you press button, if "hip, beep" is heard and then operation does not start,
check to see that battery does not wear out or that the unit is in the hold mode.
For tapes recorded with Dolby B NR
Set the DOLBY NR switch to ON to reduce tape hiss.
Music sensor function
You can search for the beginning of a track during playback if there is a 4-
second or longer blank between tracks.
To focate the beginning of the current or previous tracks, press the REW
button up to 5 times during playback.
To locate the succeeding tracks, press the FF button up to 5 times during
playback.
While the unit is searching for a beginning of a track, beep sound is heard
corresponding to the number of tracks to search.
To repeat a track (One track repeat)
If there is a 4-second or longer blank between the tracks, you can play back the
current track repeatedly.
Keep the <›
REPEAT button pressed during playback for 2 seconds.
"Bip, beep" is heard and one track repeat playback starts.
To cancel, press the<>
REPEAT button.
When operating with the remote control, press the REPEAT button.
To select a reverse mode -+ E
Set the BLANK SKIP switch as follows.
OFF/Z3:
Both sides are played back once. Playback stops at the end of the
reverse side.
ON/CZJ: Both sides are played back repeatedly.
If a blank section lasting longer than 12 seconds is detected on the
tape, that section is automatically
fast forwarded and pfayback
resumes from the beginning of the next recorded section.
Note
The music sensor, one track repeat and blank skip functions may not work
properly in the following cases:
when the recording level of the tape is low
when operations are performad around the blank section
Tape type
Set the TAPE switch to select the tape type,
NORM: For Type I (normal) tapes
H1/MTL: For Type 11(high/Cr02) and Type IV (metal) tapes
Multi sound processor +
You can enjoy music with four different equalization modes (CLASSIC, POP,
ROCK, JAZZ). Turn the M%*P control to select an equalization mode according
to your preference.
CLASSIC: Round, balanced mix from high range to low range. Good for classical
music.
POP:
Emphasizes low and mid ranges.
ROCK:
Emphasizes the low range.
JAZZ:
Emphasizes the low range with greater bass effect.
Tape direction memory
The playback side does not change when the tape stops, The next time the

REPEAT button is pressed, playback starts on the same side, However,
playback starts from the front side of the tape after:
The cassette holder is opened.
The dry cell battery is removed.
Caution
Do not attempt to open the cassette holder forcibly if it cannot be opened. This
may result in the unit being broken. To open the holder replace the dry cell
battery with new one,

un sonido biip.
Nota
Despu&
de presionar un boton, si se escucha "hip, biip" y no empieza a
funcionar, compruebe que la pila no est~ gastada o qua no esta en el modo de
retenci6n.
Para cintas grabadas con la reduccion de ruidos Dofby B
Mueva el interruptor DOLBY NR a ON para reducir el ruido de la cinta.
Funcion del sensor de musics
Puede buscar el principio de una canci6n durante la reproducci6n, si hay un
espacio en blanco de 4 segundos o mas entre canciones.
Para ubicar el principio de fa cancir5n actual o anterior, presione el bot6n
REW hasta 5 veces durante la reproducci6n.
Para ubicar una canci6n m& adefante, presione el bot6n FF hasta 5 veces
durante la reproduction.
Cuando el aparato esta buscando ef principiode una cancion, se escucha un
sonido bfip correspondiente al nbmero de canciones buscadas.
Para repetir una cancion (repetition
de la misma cancion)
Si hay un espacio en blanco de 4 segundos o m~s entre canciones puede
repetir la reproducci6n de la canci6n actual.

Seleccione el interruptor BLANK SKIP de la siguiente forma.

Nota

Precauci6n
