CONNECTION TO THE GAS PIPE
The connection must be stress-free and must be checked for gastightness by means of soapy water.
The gas supply pipe must be fitted with a gas tap which is located as near as possible to the appliance.
Connecting the Fan (fig.4)
The fan shall always be connected as it starts and stops automatically.( A ) ( fig.4 )
A two-position switch (A) (fig.7) allows to set the fan at the high-speed ( II ) or the low-speed ( I ) regime.
POSITIONING THE INCANDESCENT ELEMENTS (fig. 5)
Egally spread the vermiculite ( G ) on the burner surface and if provided for at the left-hand and the right-hand sides of the burner.
All logs are marked with a letter at the bottom.
Position the logs on the burner as indicated in (fig.5).
The supplied glow flakes (C) can be spread at will on top of the vermiculite granules to obtain an optimal glowing effect. You do not
have to use the entire contents of the bag.
NEVER have the heater burn without vermiculite granules on the burner.
INJECTOR NOZZLE PRESSURE CHECK
All heaters are factory-set to natural gas and the injector nozzle pressure adjusting screw is sealed. In the event of disturbances, the
injector nozzle pressure can be checked as follows: (see fig. 8).
Remove the screw from the injector nozzle pressure-measuring nipple (3) and connect the manometer.
Switch on the heater. The chart "TECHNICAL DATA" lists the injector nozzle pressures at nominal prepressure. In the event of
anomalies or disturbances, contact the manufacturer's technical department. Never break the sealed adjusting screw. When the sealing is
broken, the guarantee expires.
THERMOSTAT
The temperature is measured by a sensor that is incorporated in the remote control device and accounts for the ambient temperature of the
room where the remote control is located.
