REVERSING THE DOOR ORIENTATION
The default left side orientation of the door can be changed to the right side. Use the following procedure to
change the side of the door hinge.
1. Set the thermostat to the 0 position and disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet.
2. Loosen the two screws from the rear side and two screws from the top side (beneath the screw cover) of
the top cover and remove the top cover. Then remove the door from the bottom hinge.
3. Remove the shaft from the top cover and place it on the opposite side.
4. Tilt the appliance backwards to an angle of 45° and securely support it.
5. Remove both adjustable feet from the bottom of the appliance.
6. Loosen the two screws on the bottom hinge and remove it. Change the shaft on the hinge to the opposite
direction.
7. Place the bottom hinge on the opposite side and secure it in place with two screws.
8. Reinstall both adjustable feet. Make sure that they are installed on the opposite side (smaller one on the
side of the hinge).
9. Place the appliance back to the upright position.
10. Place the door back on the bottom hinge.
11. Place the top cover back on the unit and secure it with the four screws. Make sure that the shaft on the top
cover is securing the door in place.
12. Make sure that the door is in the vertical position and can be closed easily.
Note: After reversing the door hinge, the door gasket may get loose. Should you notice a gap between
the gasket and the cabinet, gently pull it out to seal the gap. A correct gasket positioning is the key
to prevent refrigerated air from escaping.
OPERATION
1. Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
2. Use the thermostat to adjust the temperature.
For TFS8540E / TFS8540
Thermostat 0 – 7
0 - off
1 - warmest temperature
7 - coldest temperature
Recommended setting: 3 to 4
The settings (1 – 3) are generally intended to be used during the winter, and the settings (5 – 7)
during the summer. The higher the ambient temperature the higher the setting should be used.
Note for model TFS8540E / TFS8540: Use the highest setting 7 only to make ice-cubes or
when frozen food is being stored.
3. Let the appliance operate for at least 3 hour before filling the food.
4. When not in use for a longer period of time set the thermostat to the 0 position and disconnect the power
plug from the electrical outlet. After unplugging wait at least 10 minutes before plugging in again.

Preparing the ice-cubes
1. Fill the ice-cube tray (not included) with fresh drinking water. Do not overfill.
