- use the electric hacksaw to cut branches, not too dry, and with a
diameter not exceeding the maximum foreseen (see technical data)
- Do not touch the hacksaw with damp or wet hands.
- Do not modify and/or tamper with any part.
- Do not place your hands near the chain when the machine is running.
- Place the bar cover every time the machine is not used and during
transport.
The machines must be used only for the purpose for which they were
designed.
The machines must not be operated with the guards removed and the
guards must not be removed or disengaged.
2.3 Safety in use and maintenance
2.3.1 Safety in use and in the working environment
- Before starting the machine, ensure the perfect integrity and
state of the art of all its parts, the batteries and the battery charger.
Furthermore, check that the chain is not in contact with foreign bodies,
that the tightening screws are tightened correctly, that the bar is
mounted correctly and that the chain is correctly tensioned, last but not
least that the oil tank is full.
- Before charging, make sure the environment is dry and clean.
- The area in which the machines are used is to be considered a
"dangerous area", i.e. an area near which the presence of an exposed
person constitutes a risk to the health and safety of that person. This
applies in particular in the presence of people who are not trained in
using the machines.
- The area surrounding the operating area of the machines must
always be clean and kept free of any impediment. Make sure there are
no people or animals in the work area.
- When a person is "exposed" or is in a "dangerous area", the operator
must immediately intervene by stopping the machines and possibly
removing the person in question.
-During the operation of the machines, the operator must maintain a
position that allows full control, so as to be able to intervene at any time
and in any eventuality.
- Before placing the machine in the sheath or case, make sure that the
chain is stopped, turn off the machine and attach the bar cover.
- Periodically check the integrity and that the parts are not worn.
- Check that all protection devices are always well tightened, secured
and interlocked
- Do not place the machine on damp ground and do not leave it
unattended.
- Do not put the machine down before it has come to a complete stop.
- Do not cut material other than wood.
- Do not point the pruner towards people.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Keep out of reach of unauthorized personnel.
