DESCRIPTION
This apparatus has been projected to be assembled in a corner; it includes a hood and a telescopic flue that
must be set onto the upper part of the hood to cover the air evacuation pipe.
This apparatus can be a filtering version one or an ducting version one.
In the Filtering version the air and the kitchen fumes that are conveyed by the apparatus are depurated by the charcoal
filters and put back into the room through the small grilles of the ventilation telescopic flue (Fig. 1).
In the Ducting version the kitchen fumes and odours are conveyed directly to the outside, by air evacuation pipe.
The evacuation operation can be done through the wall, or even through the ceiling (Fig. 2).
INSTALLATION
Before assembling fix the supporting upper bracket of the telescopic flue onto the ceiling by means of the supplied
screws, as indicated in Fig.7.
Wall fixing with brackets (Fig. 3) Before assembling, in order to manoeuvre the appliance more easily, take off the
anti-grease filters: at the handle, push the stop inwards and pull the filter downwards (Fig.13).
By means of the proper boring template, make all the holes that are indicated on it into the wall. Set the supplied
brackets onto the wall by means of the supplied screws and screw anchors. Drive the hood along the brackets as
indicated in Figure 3A. Make the security fixing by means of the supplied screws and screw anchors (Fig.16) in order
that it is in the same axis as the supporting upper bracket of the telescopic flue you have fixed beforehand (Fig.4).
For assembling it is essential to:
- Prepare the connection to the mains within the telescopic flue.
- Prepare the hole for evacuating the air if your apparatus is to be installed as an ducting version one.
Connect the flange of the hood to the venting hole on the wall/ceiling, by means of a proper pipe.
Connect the hood to the mains.
If the unit is the filtering version, first fit the baffle to the upper bracket by means of the screws (Fig. 5A) provided.
Then fit the upper bracket complete with baffle to the ceiling using the screws provided (Fig. 8A). Connect a suitable
flexible tube to the baffle and the hood flange.
Fix the telescopic flue by means of the supplied side fixing screws (Fig. 6), minding that concerning the filtering version
the air evacuation grilles must be placed at the top (Fig. 1).
Also remember that charcoal filters must be used in the case of the filtering version; check to see whether such
filters are already fitted;
- if the hood features round charcoal filters (Fig. 14), fit the charcoal filter by turning anti-clockwise.
OPERATION
Depending on the model, the unit is equipped with the following controls:
CONTROLS shown in Fig. 9: Button A: turns the lights on/off; every 30 hours of operation the corresponding
pilot lamp (S) comes on to indicate that the grease filters must be cleaned; every 120 hours of operation the
corresponding pilot lamp (S) flashes to indicate that the grease filters must be cleaned and the charcoal filter
replaced. To restart the hour counter (RESET), hold the button A pressed down for about 1" (while the pilot
lamp S is on).
Button B: drives the motor in first speed (the corresponding pilot lamp comes on); when holding it down for
about 1", the motor cuts out; when pressing the button a second time (while the pilot lamp is on), the TIMER
is activated and thus the motor stops after 5' (the pilot lamp flashes).
Button C: drives the motor in second speed (the corresponding pilot lamp comes on); when pressing the button
a second time (while the pilot lamp is on), the TIMER is activated and thus the motor stops after 5' (the pilot
lamp flashes).
Button D: drives the motor in third speed (the corresponding pilot lamp comes on); when pressing the button
a second time (while the pilot lamp is on), the TIMER is activated and thus the motor stops after 5' (the pilot
lamp flashes).
Button E: drives the motor in fourth speed (the corresponding pilot lamp comes on); when pressing the button
a second time (while the pilot lamp is on), the TIMER is activated and thus the motor stops after 5' (the pilot
lamp flashes).
CONTROLS shown in Fig. 10:
P1 Switches LIGHTS on and off
P2 min and MAX LIGHT intensity
P3 Nothing happens when pressed with motor OFF. When pressed with motor ON decreases speed until switch-
off. Kept pressed for 2" with motor OPERATING, switches off motor and stores the speed.
P4 When pressed with motor OFF, switches on the motor at stored speed in switch-off or first speed phase When
pressed with motor ON, increases speed.
